STEAMSONG: A commission to make a seminal image to represent the contemporary opera STEAMSONG composed by John Kefala Kerr. The world record holding Mallard train featured here was photographed in York, and the actors are two of the cast. There were dark elements in the opera and this is reflected in my treatment - combining the 'real' and the fabricated to make a highly constructed image.
